Clarity Monitor
Model 00440

Features:

  • Able to measure fluid clarity/particulate level in fluids that are too dark or viscous for other instruments
  • Real-time process analysis
  • Detects deviations from quality standards
  • Single screen display of data
  • Displays % clarity to first decimal
  • Range of 1.3 to 40,000 particles/mL
  • Monitors efficiency of filtration processes

Benefits:

  • Easy to use
  • Works with fluids of a wide range of colors and viscosities
  • Non-clogging sensor
  • Easily cleans between samples
  • On-line monitoring in real-time
  • On-line, batch or bottle analysis
  • Highly repeatable results

Uses:

  • Process fluids
  • Filtration monitoring and measurement
  • Beverages and fruit juices
  • Oils and inks
  • Concentrates
  • Liquors and liqueurs

Why Use a Clarity Monitor?

There are currently two ways to determine the concentrations of particulate in process liquids on-line: automated particle counting and turbidimetric analysis. The Clarity Monitor offers a means to characterize liquids that are not easily analyzed by either method. In addition, it is more accurate and reproducible than either method when used in dark or highly concentrated fluids. Ask for IBR Application Note titled "Comparison of Turbidimeters, Particle Counters, and Clarity Monitors for Determination of Particulate Levels in Liquids" for a full description.
