Testing of Medical Filters for a Variety of Applications:
  • Laser plume
  • Reservoirs
  • Parenteral drugs/solutions
  • Face masks
  • Air vents
  • Cardiotomy

Medical Filter Testing

Testing of all Major Performance Areas:

  • Liquid-borne particulate retention efficiency - as a function of particle size - from 0.1-2500 micron
  • Aerosol retention efficiency - both hard particles and mists
  • Capacity and throughput - with both particulate and fume challenges
  • Clean fluid flow vs. pressure drop - in air, water, and simulated plasma and blood
  • Toxic fume removal and capacity - using chromatography and IR
  • Particulate contaminants - including latex spheres, silica, glass beads, ceramics, test dusts, tobacco smoke, water mists, and oil mists.
Accuracy of Results is Assured:
  • Automatic particle counters are calibrated to NIST standards
  • Tests methods follow established ASTM, ISO, and AAMI protocols
  • IBR is Accredited by the A2LA for compliance with ISO/IEC Guide 17025 for good laboratory practices
